Reimagining how people work with data

DB Pro was born out of sheer frustration with the tools already out there. Most database apps seem to fall into one of two camps:

• The dated, legacy applications from the early 2000s, with a “kitchen sink” approach—hundreds of features crammed into cluttered menus, buttons, and drop-downs.
• The cleaner-looking tools that, while pleasant enough, stop at the basics: you can view and edit your data, maybe run a query or two, but that's about it.

As founders of previous startups, we've seen first-hand that your database is one of the most critical parts of your product. It's your single source of truth, the place where your business actually lives. Scaling to thousands of users is tough enough, but if your data is locked away in tools that don't serve you well, you're fighting uphill.

Plenty of apps claim to help you visualise your product's data, but most reduce down to nothing more than SQL editors with a few sharing options bolted on. We wanted more than that. We wanted a tool where you could explore your data, run queries, build dashboards, and export with ease—all within a single, powerful workbench.

That's why we're building DB Pro.

And we're not stopping there. We're entering a new era where AI and large language models (LLMs) are fast becoming a commodity. The ability to simply “talk” to your data—asking questions, generating insights, building workflows, designing new tables, and spinning up dashboards—shouldn't be a luxury. It should be a necessity.

That's the vision for DB Pro.
